Wallace (getting out of the car): Where´s Tim?

Red:
He should be here by now..

Wallace:
Yeah, by now..come on, let´s go in I´m starving...

Red: Nah, let´s just wait a little longer...

pause

Wallace : Did he get his Ford running again?

Red:
Yeah, I think so. Maybe..

Wallace: Maybe? You don´t know?

Red:
No. I don´t know.

Pause

Wallace:
Well, maybe ít broke down on 99...I remember one time me n´ Tim we were on 99 heading to the arena to go to the Ironmen game - they were playing San Diego that night - and I was saying to Tim that there was no way the Ironmen would trade Dotten to Portland ´cause Portland hates Dotten and Dotten hates Portland and likes Seattle and besides Isaacson gave him a job at the shipyard for when he´s not playing so why would he want to leave Seattle? And Tim just says shut up, but then I said and another thing, Dotten is talking about actually buying the Ironmen when he´s done playing and wants to manage the club himself so he´ll have some kind of nest egg for when he hangs ´em up and Tim says shut up no way and I say yes way and so we get to the game but I forgot to buy tickets and the game was sold out cause it was Saturday so we had to buy them off a scalper who charged us twenty cents extra per ticket and I told the guy I´m pretty sure that´s illegal so he says so sue me and I thought well maybe I will but then we would miss the game so we bought the tickets and the Ironmen beat the pants off of the Skyhawks - they´re from San Diego - and Dotten got a hat trick and everybody was throwing their hats on the ice and I said to Tim why don´t you throw your hat on the ice and Tim said forget it I just bought this hat and I said yeah but Dotten just scored a hat trick and everybody else is -

Red: -
Wally...

Wallace:
What?

Red: Shut. up.

Long pause

Wallace: So, you think he broke down on 99?

Loved this dark photo!
I'm sure that was the conversation. That or something about waiting for a hotsy-totsy dame with swell gams.

As soon as I set eyes upon it, I was inspired. It´s such a beautiful photo. Even if it wasn't Seattle, I'd still be struck by the image. I think you might be right. I think our friend looking off in the distance is waiting for that hotsy-dotsy dame to show up, who he perhaps met at that fraternity-sorority sock hop at the UW last Saturday..they really hit it off..
